American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Da Vinci robotic surgery expertise for a hospital surgical services role.

The position covers a broad range of procedures across General OR, Trauma, Endoscopic, Laparoscopic, and Transplant cases, with an emphasis on orthopedic and robotic surgery. Expect 5x8 day shifts and rotating call. Local travelers evaluated for rate adjustments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• BLS certification required.
• NBSTSA CST credential required.
• Experience with Da Vinci robotic surgery required.
• Wisconsin or Compact license required if applicable.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cover General OR, Trauma, Endoscopic, Laparoscopic, and Transplant/Organs cases in the hospital surgical services department.
• Perform across specialties including ENT, Eye, Plastics, Podiatry, Orthopedics, Spine, Neuro, General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Urology.
• Rotate through all specialty areas; no dedicated specialty teams.
• Support heavy orthopedic caseload including total joints and spine.
• Utilize Da Vinci Xi robotic system across General, Colorectal, Urology, and OB/GYN surgeries.
• Maintain aseptic technique and instrument processing standards.
• Participate in Universal Protocol (time out) procedures and specimen handling.

Responsibilities

• Hospital surgical services department covering General OR, Trauma, Endoscopic, Laparoscopic, and Transplant/Organ donation cases
• Specialties include ENT, Eye, Plastics, Podiatry, Orthopedics, Spine, Neuro, General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Urology
• All staff rotate through all specialty areas with no dedicated specialty teams
• Heavy orthopedic caseload including total joints, sports medicine, and spine
• Robotic surgery experience required utilizing the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System across General, Colorectal, Urology, and OB/GYN specialties
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 0900-1730
• Call rotation required with 2 call teams during the week and 1 on weekends, approximately 1 weekend every 3-4 weeks covering either Saturday or Sunday
• Weekday call expected 2-3 times per week
• Support surgical teams across a wide range of specialties including orthopedic, neuro, general, gynecologic, urologic, and robotic procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique, instrument processing, and sterilization/disinfection standards
• Participate in Universal Protocol (time out) procedures and specimen handling
• Facility cannot accommodate latex allergies
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Travel pairs accepted
• Previous travelers may return only after a minimum 1-year separation from the facility
• RTO falling on a scheduled call day must be covered by the employee
