Open heart experience is required, with a 1:1 patient ratio. Day shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with weeknights/weekends call. Travel-friendly facility, Stryker equipment, and Cerner EMR usage are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must be NBSTSA CST
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Open heart surgery experience required
• Experience scrubbing Ortho, Neuro, DaVinci robot, General, and Gyne cases required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of assignment
• Active driver’s license required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Hospital OR unit with 12 beds
• Open Heart CST role; scrub in general surgery if not needed in open heart
• Must scrub Ortho, Neuro, DaVinci robot, General, Gyne cases
• Patient ratio 1:1
• Day shift 6:45 AM–3:15 PM
• Call requirements include weeknights and weekends
• No floating required
• Cerner EMR used
• Stryker equipment used; updated within last year
• Surgical blue scrub color required
• Orientation available 10/19/26 or every other Monday
• Required to work during Thanksgiving week
• RTO requests < 1 week
• Candidates reside >50 miles from facility; local candidates not accepted
• Past CHS staff (permanent) at CHS facility within past 2 years not considered
