Job summary

The role requires graduation from MA program or high school with MA certification, completion of externship, and BLS certification. Experience with Epic is preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical Assistant Diploma and/or National Medical Assistant Certification required
• Graduation from an accredited MA program or equivalent military healthcare experience required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant externship required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Communicate and coordinate patient care with staff, patients, and providers
• Prepare for patient visits by reviewing prior notes and ensuring results are documented
• Perform clinical duties including EKG, spirometry, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection as competency allows
• Dismiss patients, schedule follow-ups, and provide patient education
