Job summary

Central Health in Austin, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant – Multi-Specialty to support a diverse clinic team. Under supervision, you will perform patient care duties, assist with exams, and help coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and care teams.

You will complete pre-visit planning, document results, and practice AIDET, while maintaining patient confidentiality. Proficiency with Epic and an externship in ambulatory care are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent; Medical Assistant diploma and/or national certification.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant externship.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Preferred: experience in ambulatory clinic with specialty services; Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the patient’s care team to optimize outcomes.
• Communicates with staff, patients, and providers to coordinate care and workflow.
• Performs pre-visit planning and documents results (lab results, tests, notes).
• Practices AIDET during each patient interaction and ensures patient comfort.
