Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of related experience.
• Fingerprinting required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized maintenance work within an assigned County Division, which may involve plumbing, aquatic control, building, custodial, road/bridge, or traffic operations tasks.
• Assists skilled-trade employees or other workers as needed.
• Maintains and repairs HVAC systems and related equipment; checks and repairs light fixtures, wiring, and safety-related components.
• Performs cleaning/maintenance to keep equipment and tools in operable condition; monitors equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Transports, loads, and unloads equipment and materials; assists with inventory management and supply replenishment.
• Follows safety procedures and participates in on-call duties for after-hours emergencies.

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
