Job summary

EverTrue is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to perform a range of skilled maintenance and repair tasks across community buildings and grounds. The role involves completing work orders in CMMS, performing HVAC upkeep, painting, and preparing apartments for move-in, with a focus on safety and life-safety inspections.

You will maintain equipment, track inventory, and assist residents as needed, with on-call shifts and potential weekend work.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and small equipment repair.
• EPA refrigerant certification type II required if handling refrigerants.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Proficient with saws, hand tools, carpentry equipment, lawn equipment, and alarm systems.
• Experience with commercial kitchen or laundry equipment service preferred.
• May need to provide own hand tools for use on the job.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence; good communication skills.
• Experience with The WorxHUB CMMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders in CMMS to repair or install equipment and systems.
• Performs HVAC upkeep and repairs; tracks inventory and prepares reports.
• Preps apartments for move-in, including painting and repairs.
• Maintains appearance of buildings and grounds, including snow removal and salting.
• Inspects and tests equipment; reports malfunctions and replaces defective items.
• May conduct inspections and drills (Life Safety) such as sprinklers and electrical checks.
• On-call as required and may work beyond normal hours or weekends.
