Job summary

Sertoma Star Services in Chicago Heights is seeking a Maintenance Worker I to oversee general maintenance of facilities, ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards. Key responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, responding to maintenance requests, and acting as backup for the Maintenance Manager.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma with two years of relevant experience, possess effective communication skills, and demonstrate proficiency with tools and technology. This role offers a variety of benefits including generous paid time off and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with current auto insurance and acceptable motor vehicle report.
• CDL desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on all Sertoma Star buildings.
• Repair or replace electrical devices and plumbing fixtures.
• Respond to maintenance e-tickets in a timely manner via computer or mobile app.
• Act as backup to the Maintenance Manager when absent.
