Job summary

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment and assets at our local store. You will perform routine tasks, follow maintenance schedules, and document activities using the work order system under supervision of the General Maintenance Manager.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and operate safety-compliant tools.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR; CDL eligibility.
• Vocational/Technical certification with 3 years’ experience or 5 years in related trades (plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment).
• Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete training to operate equipment and tools safely.
