Job summary

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join the local team in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing facilities, equipment, and fixtures. You will work under the local General Maintenance Manager to follow schedules and respond to repair needs in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires climbing, lifting, and working in varied temperatures, with a state-issued driver’s license and relevant trades experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in trades.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple crafts (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, equipment).
• Use the work order system to receive and document repair work orders.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete training to operate equipment and tools safely.
