Job summary

Laborup is hiring Assembly Technicians for a plastics manufacturing operation. This hands-on role covers assembly, finishing, inspection, and packaging, with exposure to various stations and equipment. Expect physical, fast-paced work and opportunities to grow skillsets on the shop floor.

Roles are full-time, direct-hire with rotating 12-hour schedules and choices of day or night shifts. Advancement into more senior production positions is available as you gain experience and demonstrate

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical, hands-on production work during a 12-hour shift.
• Regularly stand, bend, reach, lift, and handle materials.
• Comfortable using hand tools and production equipment.
• Strong attention to quality and safety.
• Follow written work instructions and standardized production processes.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• 1+ years manufacturing, production, or assembly experience.
• Production assembly experience.
• High-volume manufacturing experience.
• Experience performing in-process quality inspections.

Responsibilities

• Production Assembly: Assemble manufactured components according to established work instructions and production standards.
• Tools & Equipment: Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and in-line assembly equipment to complete production tasks.
• Quality Checks: Inspect components and finished products for defects, accuracy, and overall quality.
• Finishing & Packaging: Complete finishing, labeling, wrapping, strapping, packaging, and related downstream production activities.
• Material Handling: Load, unload, move, and organize components and finished products throughout the assembly process.
• Process Monitoring: Identify quality, production, or equipment issues that could create downtime or scrap.
• Production Documentation: Complete required production and quality records accurately.
• Cross-Training: Learn and rotate across multiple assembly stations as production needs change and your skills develop.
