Job summary

Laborup is hiring Assembly Technicians in Newport, TN for a hands-on production environment in a plastics manufacturing setting. You will work across several assembly stages, using hand and pneumatic tools, inline equipment, and quality checks to move products through finishing and packaging.

The role offers rotation across stations, opportunities for promotion from the shop floor, and a diverse range of tasks to develop manufacturing skills over time.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical, hands-on production work throughout a 12-hour shift.
• Regularly stand, bend, reach, lift, and handle materials.
• Follow written work instructions and standardized processes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble manufactured components according to work instructions and standards.
• Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and in-line equipment to complete tasks.
• Inspect components and finished products for defects and quality.
• Finish, label, wrap, and package as required downstream production steps.
• Move and organize components and finished products through assembly.
• Identify quality or equipment issues that could cause downtime or scrap.
• Complete required production and quality records.
• Rotate across multiple assembly stations as needed.
