Job summary

Red Gold in Elwood, IN is hiring a General Machine Operator for 2nd or 3rd shift to support our Packaging and Production teams. You will perform a variety of tasks across departments, following instructions and adhering to quality and safety standards.

The role requires basic math and writing for paperwork, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to learn multiple pieces of equipment. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with overtime to cover absenteeism and peak periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing or packaging environments preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate multiple pieces of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor tasks following basic instructions.
• Operate and monitor packaging/production equipment as assigned.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Complete required paperwork using basic math and writing skills.
• Support supervision with changeover activities and shift coverage.
• Work 45-60 hours per week with overtime as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards.
