Job summary

The Ohio Attorney General's Office is seeking a part-time maintenance worker to perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, repair and minor installations across plumbing, electrical, carpentry and related systems at the agency's facilities.

Responsibilities include custodial duties, painting, masonry, and operation of machine tools and welding equipment. Prior experience in general maintenance and adaptability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic and basic English; 6 months training or 6 months experience in maintenance repair work.
• Unskilled labor classification per state rules; no written examination required.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, replacement and repair of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry and related systems.
• Operates machine tools and welding equipment for repairs of metal parts and equipment.
• Performs interior and exterior maintenance, custodial and grounds-keeping duties as assigned.
• Performs minor vehicle maintenance and related equipment upkeep.
• Patches plaster, paints and repairs surfaces as needed.
• Assists in masonry work and general building upkeep.
