Job summary

The Office of the Ohio Attorney General is seeking candidates for a part-time, intermittent Maintenance Repair Worker 2 in the General Services Section. This role involves skilled maintenance across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related tasks, reporting daily to OPOTA in London, Ohio.

Responsibilities include painting, masonry, vehicle maintenance, interior and exterior upkeep, and groundskeeping. The position requires basic English skills and 6 months experience in maintenance work.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction and in reading, writing and speaking common English vocabulary.
• 6 months training or 6 months experience in maintenance repair work (e.g., basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, masonry repair and use of associated hand and power tools and equipment).
• Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated licensure.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, replacement, minor installation and repair of plumbing equipment.
• Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, replacement, minor installation and repair of electrical equipment.
• Performs carpentry work involving skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, alteration and/or repair to buildings, equipment and wooden structures.
