Job summary

SEARHC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I/II/III to support hospital facilities in Wrangell. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, carpentry, and basic mechanical repairs across multiple systems.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred.
Valid driver’s license and insurable under SEARHC policy.
Complete Lockout Tagout online course within 90 days of hire.
Complete eye wash weekly testing competency within 90 days.
Safety- 10-hour OSHA Competency within 90 days.
Life safety 101 Competency within 90 days.

Responsibilities

Preventive maintenance: maintain systems, equipment, and tools; document PM activities.
Troubleshooting and repair: basic mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
Carpentry: perform journeyman level carpentry tasks as requested.
Work orders: complete orders timely and professionally.
Tool operation: use shop tools, heavy equipment as needed; operate forklift/backhoe.
Locksmith: install/repair locks and related hardware; respond to emergencies.
Grounds and parking lots: snow plowing, ice treatment, landscaping, litter removal.
Supplies: track needs, order tools and supplies, assist cost-effective purchases.
