Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold a safe, functional, and visually appealing gaming environment. You will perform routine electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, inspect and repair equipment, and maintain records of maintenance activities.

The role requires availability for weekends, holidays, and night shifts, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
• Familiarity with basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, systems, and structures within the facility.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce equipment breakdowns and extend asset life.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from other departments.
• Ensure maintenance tasks comply with safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Inspect the facility regularly to identify safety or maintenance issues.
• Assist with facility projects, including installations, renovations, and improvements.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs and parts replacement when necessary.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues as required.
• Support special events by setting up and breaking down equipment.
