Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations at our facility in Glencoe, Alabama. The role covers carpentry, plumbing, electrical tasks and preventive maintenance on conveyors and motors.

You will read manuals, perform light welding, and ensure a clean, organized work area while assisting in repairs. Requirements include 2+ years in a maintenance-related field and experience with hydraulic systems; Hazwoper certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance-related experience.
• 2+ years experience working with hydraulic systems.
• Hazwoper certification (40-hour) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on conveyors and related items.
• Light welding and fabrication.
• Maintain building and grounds upkeep.
• Use carpentry, plumbing and mechanical skills for repairs.
• Preventative maintenance of pumps and motors.
• Read manuals to assist in repairs.
• Keep a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
