Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a Supervisory professional to oversee safety, operations, maintenance and reliability of compressors and transmission pipelines from the Bloomfield, NM area. You will manage regulatory requirements, lead a team across multiple sites, and forecast budgets for Capital and O&M while ensuring compliance with company standards.

The role emphasizes OQ program adherence, emergency readiness, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, field operations, and management.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of experience with mechanical and pipeline systems in natural gas.
• Experience supervising and managing assets.
• Knowledge in pipeline, measurement and compressor station operations.
• Knowledge of safe handling of flammable gases, liquids, and high/low pressure systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage PHMSA and regulatory requirements and assist during inspections or audits.
• Monitor and implement company procedures, standards, and best practices.
• Oversee safety program, environmental compliance, governmental compliance, employee training and development, facility security, and personnel functions within area.
• Ensure Operator Qualification (OQ) program requirements are met for contract and company employees.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to compressor and pipeline personnel across multiple locations.
• Create, manage, plan and forecast budgets for area (Capital and O&M).
• Develop OM&M procedures, site-specific procedures, project scopes and work plans.
• Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of equipment and related systems.
• Supervise construction/maintenance by third parties on company property or ROW.
• Manage cash flow, cost monitoring and control.
• Supervise operations to meet goals within budget and staff.
• Assist with AFE project prep, scheduling, and cost monitoring.
• Conduct performance evaluations of direct reports.
• Develop short and long-range plans for compressor and pipeline operations.
• Support project management and business development as needed.
• Organize work for timely completion.
• Complete all documentation and recordkeeping.
• Operate in compliance with Company standards and regulatory/tariff requirements.
• Interact professionally with employees, management, vendors, and customers.
• Speak clearly and listen effectively.
• Maintain dependable attendance and high performance.
• Prioritize safety and asset protection.
• Respond to emergencies any hour; carry company device and support 24/7 as needed.
• May work non-traditional hours and travel as required.
