Job summary

Qualifications

BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Experience in using EMR systems, insurance verification, eligibility, and electronic billing.
Strong knowledge of health insurance plans and benefits interpretation.
Excellent confidentiality, communication, and multitasking abilities.
Experience in a customer support role and medical terminology knowledge.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

Obtain demographics, insurance, and medical information for registration.
Perform insurance verification and data collection; document in systems.
Identify patient financial responsibility and collect payments when applicable.
Provide liaison between patients, physicians, and payers to facilitate access.
Process authorizations electronically via payer portals, fax, or phone.
Answer calls, direct inquiries, and document messages; maintain confidentiality.
