Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, or NPs with clerical duties, patient flow and basic patient care across multiple sites. The role emphasizes accurate documentation in EHR, appointment scheduling in PMS, and coordination of referrals.

The candidate should have MA training, strong English communication, and the ability to work across satellite locations. BLS is preferred and travel to satellite offices may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program, required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.
• Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed.
• Travel to satellite locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room.
• Escorts patient into the room.
• Cleans examination room after the exam.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Ensures proper preparation for patient visits.
• Prepares pertinent information for patient visits.
• Documents in EHR.
• Reviews and updates medication lists in EHR.
• Schedules appointments in PMS and EHR.
• Provides referrals and orders in PMS/EHR.
• Adheres to universal safety precautions when administering medications.
