Principle Health Systems is seeking a versatile Medical Assistant Floater for a hybrid role that travels to multiple clinic locations in Webster, TX. You will perform front desk and clinical duties, maintain HIPAA compliance, and support patient care and billing processes.

The position requires at least 2 years of medical assistant experience, front desk exposure, and MA certification preferred. Strong communication and EMR familiarity are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical assistant role.
• 1 year of front desk experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, coding procedures, and pharmacology within the medical assistant scope of practice.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical health record (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Front Desk Operations: Open office, greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, document calls in EMR, coordinate with billing, collect payments, check in/out, generate lab orders, upload intake forms, assist patients with paperwork.
• Clinical Duties: Maintain HIPAA confidentiality, coordinate with techs, prepare exam rooms, room patients, record vital signs, verify information, document medical histories, ensure PMP verification, assist practitioners, educate patients on medications and scheduling, update prescriptions in EMR.
• Administrative & Compliance: Scan and label lab reports, schedule patients, send referrals, communicate scheduling changes, submit medical records, ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance.
