Job summary

The Staff Pad partners with a mission-driven healthcare organization providing primary care to underserved populations in Los Angeles, CA. We are hiring a dependable Medical Assistant (Floater) to join the Operations team, traveling between clinic locations as needed.

Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to patients and healthcare providers while assisting with daily clinic operations and patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certificate required; ACA requirements preferred
• CPR/BCLS/OSHA/Phlebotomy/First Aid certifications as applicable
• Two years of related experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation
• Experience with underserved populations and diverse communities

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document vital signs and medical information
• Maintain patient records, prescriptions, and clinical documentation in EHR and PMS
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and assist with examinations
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures
• Operate diagnostic equipment and coordinate patient testing
• Administer injections, immunizations, and treatments
• Perform routine laboratory testing and process specimens
• Review laboratory orders and communicate results to patients
