Job summary

Federal Realty Investment Trust is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to oversee a portfolio of properties in the Baltimore area. You will conduct site inspections, perform repairs, and coordinate with property management and contractors to maintain safety and appearance.

The role requires 3+ years in maintenance, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. Candidates should be mechanically inclined with strong communication and teamwork skills; occasional after-hours work

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in past maintenance position.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License required to drive the company vehicle.
• Skilled at using a variety of tools.
• Ability to climb ladders or scaffolding as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders up to sixteen (16) feet.
• Must be able to walk a property 3 to 4 times a day.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
• Proven ability to work well within a fast-paced team environment and execute problem-solving solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and perform necessary repairs, addressing safety hazards and basic maintenance tasks.
• Communicate regularly with Property Management and the property team; report and resolve issues.
• Build and maintain Tenant relations and coordinate with contractors.
• Manage contractor progress and ensure projects are completed as contracted.
• Oversee electrical and lighting repair processes; review reports and proposals.
• Support marketing, janitorial, security, landscaping, and other departments as needed.
• Promote safety and maintain property appearance.
