Job summary

WinnCompanies seeks a Maintenance Technician II for Northwood Apartments, a 182-unit affordable family housing community in Waterbury, CT. You will perform maintenance in rental units, common areas, office, grounds and parking lots.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience and knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC, plus strong customer service and communication skills. On-call duties and a weekday schedule are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
• Availability for on-call activity during off hours.
• Ability to speak and understand basic English.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Complete service requests in line with procedures.
• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy and market readiness.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and safety checks.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal, including snow removal.
• Be available for on-call duties as scheduled.
