YWCA USA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support multiple program facilities in the City of Binghamton area. This role ensures safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance across housing sites and a childcare center through preventive maintenance and timely repairs.

You will work under the Facilities Manager, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks, and keep detailed logs.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on maintenance or facilities experience in multi-site settings.
• Proficient with HVAC basics, electrical up to 120V, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• Familiar with hand and power tools; ladder safety; lift equipment.
• Knowledge of life-safety systems, childcare regulations, and housing codes.

Responsabilités

• Execute and track work orders; document repairs and time spent.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, etc.
• Repair leaks, electrical issues, door hardware, drywall, and minor roofing/siding.
• Maintain fire safety equipment inspections and monthly testing.
• Handle grounds, exterior maintenance, and seasonal duties.
• Support childcare center facilities and HUD/licensing prep.
• Inventory management and safe storage of tools and supplies.
