Job summary

Caldic is seeking a Logistics Manager for two facilities in Illinois. The role leads Shipping teams at University Park and Elgin, ensuring safe, efficient shipping/receiving, and cross-functional collaboration with QA, replenishment, production, and customer care.

The position includes freight optimization and compliance with food-safety standards. The candidate will manage relationships with carriers and 3PLs, maintain required records, and drive continuous improvements in shipping performance

Qualifications

7+ years in distribution, transport, and operations.
5+ years supervisory/lead experience.
Forklift truck license is required.
Strong computer skills.
Knowledge of WMS and RF scanners.
Food industry experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Direct two shipping teams and oversee all shipping/receiving processes.
Coordinate freight and logistics with QA, replenishment, customer service, inventory control, and 3PL.
Identify freight savings opportunities and support freight optimization initiatives.
Maintain records of freight claims and supervise driver hours and routing.
Ensure compliance with HACCP, SQF, and food safety standards.
