Job summary

The Logistics Manager at Caldic North America in University Park, IL, will lead two shipping teams to ensure orders are picked, loaded, shipped, and invoiced efficiently while adhering to Caldic’s processes.

You will collaborate with Quality, Replenishment, Production, Customer Service, Inventory Control, and Freight teams to optimize freight, monitor orders, and ensure safety compliance in a food-grade facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in distribution, transportation, and operations.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory/lead hand experience.
• Must have strong computer skills
• Food industry related experience considered an asset
• Leadership experience a strong asset
• Forklift truck license is required (Caldic Internal training will be provided)
• Knowledge of a warehouse management system and use of RF scanner is important

Responsibilities

• Oversee two Shipping Teams, directing packing, loading, and shipping to meet delivery dates.
• Ensure compliance with shipping/receiving procedures and safety standards.
• Coordinate with QC, Replenishment, Production, Customer Service, Inventory Control and Freight teams.
• Identify freight savings opportunities and support freight optimization initiatives.
• Maintain records of freight claims and coordinate with carriers and 3PLs.
