Job summary

YWCA Seattle King Snohomish is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain multiple properties across Issaquah, Bellevue, Maple Valley, and Redmond. The role involves repairs, ongoing maintenance, and coordination with vendors to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

The position emphasizes antiracism principles and requires teamwork, problem-solving, and the ability to travel between locations using a valid WA driver’s license. Paid benefits include medical insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' hands-on facility maintenance or building trades experience.
• Basic computer skills for operating work order apps.
• Team player able to work with site personnel and supervisors.
• Working knowledge of building and mechanical systems; basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical and drywall.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders within the expected timeframe and track progress.
• Assist with painting, drywall, plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, ballast changes, cleaning, rekeying and general repairs to building systems.
• Support administration of maintenance functions including inventory tracking, data entry and safety records.
• Assist Ops Manager with community upkeep and safe, clean common areas for residents and staff.
• Schedule and perform or oversee tests, inspections and preventative maintenance (PMIs) across units and systems; oversee contractors as needed.
• Be available for on-call responses to after-hours emergencies.
