Job summary

YWCA Seattle King Snohomish is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain multiple facilities, oversee building systems, and coordinate with staff and vendors. The role emphasizes safety, timely work orders, and community wellbeing.

We value experience in painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs, with 2-3 years hands-on experience. A valid WA driver's license and ability to travel between sites are required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ hands-on facility maintenance or building trades experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders within the expected timeframe and track progress.
• Assist and support maintenance functions including inventory tracking, data entry, and safety records.
• Support Ops Manager in physical upkeep of community spaces and common areas.
• Schedule or perform testing, inspections, and PMIs on pumps, boilers, fire systems, elevators, generators, detectors; oversee contractors when needed.
• Be on-call for after-hours building emergencies.
• Maintain communication across teams and vendors to ensure safe, efficient facilities operations.
• Develop positive relationships with staff, residents, and vendors.
• Travel between YWCA locations as needed.
