Job summary

Tohono O'odham Nation Health Care seeks a Medical Assistant to deliver essential patient care in a multi-site ambulatory setting across Sells, Santa Rosa, San Simon, and Tucson. You will perform vital signs, specimen collection, injections, EKGs, venipuncture, immunizations, and basic procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities include patient education, charting in EHR, maintaining a clean, organized workspace, and adhering to HIPAA/privacy regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Second line: CMA or RMA certification per AAMA/AMT.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program.

Responsibilities

• Obtain chief complaint, vitals, and route specimens.
• Assist RN/MD by reporting changes in patient condition.
• Initiate emergency measures and CPR as needed.
• Assist with examinations and specimen collection.
• Perform venipuncture and blood draws.
• Perform 12-Lead EKGs and report results.
• Collect and label urine specimens for analysis.
• Document care in EHR and PCC Ambulatory Care Record.
• Maintain clean examination rooms and manage inventory.
• Escort patients to labs and radiology as required.
