Job summary

Tohono O'odham Nation Health Care seeks a qualified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to provide direct care in a multi-facility ambulatory setting across Sells, Santa Rosa, San Simon, or Tucson.

The role supports clinicians by performing intake, vital signs, specimen collection, injections, EKGs, and basic wound care, while maintaining patient records in the EHR and upholding HIPAA privacy standards.

Qualifications

• CMA or RMA certification required or equivalent
• Completion of an approved medical assisting program
• Excellent interpersonal and patient-care skills

Responsibilities

• Perform intake procedures and vital signs
• Assist clinicians during examinations and procedures
• Collect specimens and perform basic lab tasks
• Administer medications and injections as ordered
• Document in EHR and maintain patient confidentiality
• Support scheduling and patient flow in a multi-site ambulatory care setting
