Job summary

Manteca Unified School District is seeking a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) teacher to join our California team. The candidate must hold a valid TK/ECE credential or a Multiple Subject Credential with ECE/CD unit coursework, or a Child Development Teacher Permit accepted in lieu of coursework.

Ideal applicants demonstrate dedication to early childhood learning and compliance with district credentialing processes.

Requirements / Qualifications

For Transitional Kindergarten (TK), must hold a valid:

• PK-3 Early Childhood Education Teaching Credential; OR
• Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, AND a minimum of 24 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and/or Child Development (CD); OR
• Child Development Teacher Permit may be accepted in lieu of the 24-unit coursework requirement

• Valid Credential* or
• Unofficial Transcripts (Required: all colleges/universities attended) (Required for all Pre-interns)
• Letter from Credential program currently enrolled (Required for all Pre-interns)
• EL Authorization (must provide proof if it is not embedded in California Credential)
• Twp (2) current Letters of Recommendation (within the last 12 months)**
• CBEST (optional)
• Credential Copy (Must show Subject Description, Expiration Date and EL Authorization)
• Letters of recommendation should be from current or former Principal, Assistant Principal, Department Chair, Program Director or Supervisor. If you have not taught in California (new to the profession), please include a letter from your university program supervisor, master teacher, or practicum supervisor.

MUSD offers In-House Teacher Induction Program at no cost.

MUSD accepts up to twenty-one(21) years of full time school years.

There may be an out-of-pocket expense depending on the Medical plan.
