Job summary

Spectrum News, part of Charter Communications, seeks a Meteorologist to forecast and present weather updates across TV, digital, and apps. You will join a collaborative newsroom delivering accurate, timely weather content for our communities.

Expect to work on weather graphics, radar analysis, and breaking weather coverage with a team focused on safety and clear communication across Spectrum platforms.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience forecasting and presenting weathercasts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology.
• Knowledge of synoptic meteorology, tropical meteorology, and radar.
• Ability to anticipate situations, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
• Willing to travel to cover local stories.
• Work different shifts, weekends, and holidays for breaking news and severe weather.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and present weather updates for TV, digital and apps.
• Collaborate with reporters and producers to deliver timely, accurate weather content.
• Adapt storytelling across TV, connected TV, and digital platforms.
• Respond to breaking weather events with flexible scheduling.
