Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America seeks a Multipack Operations Supervisor in Texas to lead daily production and warehouse activities. You will oversee Multipack staff, coordinate shift schedules, and ensure accuracy of inventory and finished goods while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will support the Warehouse/Distribution Manager, participate in training, and manage packaging and ingredients records. Strong leadership and SAP experience are essential.

• Coordinate and improve processes to ensure efficiency in Multipack and warehouse areas
• Monitor staff performance and facilitate training as needed
• Support Warehouse/Distribution Manager during absences and vacations
• Assist with month-end inventories and reconciliation of finished goods
• Maintain accurate records for packaging/ingredients storage and stock levels
• Ensure safety policies and GMP requirements are followed
• Manage entries in SAP for materials and inventory
• Follow DFA procedures and regulatory, food safety, quality standards

Job description

General Purpose

Supervise personnel and activities of Multipack Operations and support Warehouse/Distribution Manager with warehouse oversight in compliance with all procedures of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) and affiliates. Coordinate and schedule Multipack Operations during shift to include order fulfillment, inventory management, material handling, and personnel management. Support warehouse operations as required. Satisfy all customer expectations both internal and external.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operation of assigned Multipack personnel according to cost and quality standards set for the department
• Schedule, assign work and adjust schedules to meet changing demands and requirements
• Recommend changes and improvements to ensure consistent and efficient operation of the Multipack area and support warehouse activities as needed
• Monitor Multipack staff performance to ensure that goals are met
• Participate in the review process on performance of Multipack and warehouse personnel. Coordinate training of personnel to improve skills
• Support the Warehouse/Distribution Manager and staff during absences, vacations, etc.
• Assist with month end inventories and daily finished goods reconciliation and ensure they are finished accurately and in a timely manner

• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Manage necessary packaging and ingredients (P&I) for storage areas and maintain accurate records
• Follow up on delivery to ensure efficient stock of materials for plant success
• Responsible for managing and monitoring entries in SAP Computer System
• Follow all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 to 5 years of demonstrated leadership attributes or team lead experience
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and inventory management applications
• Certification and/or License – Forklift Certification required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and inventory management applications
• Ability to accurately and efficiently manage own and staff’s time
• Must be able to read, write and speak English

Travel

5%-15% (1-3 times per year)

Schedule

Monday-Friday - 1:00pm-10:00pm with rotating weekends
