Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs and advanced modality exams. The role supports a wide patient population from neonates to geriatrics and may require work at outreach locations.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registration, SCRQSA licensure, and current BLS certification. 40-hour work week with on-call rotation and a $15,000 sign-on bonus offered.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of multi-modality radiology experience.
  • ARRT registration and SCRQSA licensure required.
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic radiographs and advanced modality examinations.
  • Maintains high-quality examinations for all age groups from neonates to geriatrics.

With a $15,000 Sign-on bonus! Performs CT, and radiology studies of designated anatomical areas, obtains patients histories, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns. Shift is Monday-Thursday 200p-1230a with on-call rotation among CT staff.

Job Description

Performs diagnostic radiographs and advanced modality examinations. Utilizes resources to perform high quality examinations on entire patient population (neonate through geriatrics) for interpretation by a physician. May be required to work at other outreach locations.

Education

Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Experience

Experience: At least 2 years of multi-modality experience. Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARRT Advanced Modality Registration, and licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA). Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required. Skill Sets: Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to rotate.
