Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a skilled ultrasound technologist to operate sophisticated, multi-modality ultrasound equipment, position patients, and obtain diagnostic images with high quality. You will perform and record tests across anatomy regions and support physicians with preliminary findings.

Required education includes a one-year ultrasound training program or two years of supervised on-the-job training, plus CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Verbal communication to exchange information with colleagues and staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and control ultrasound equipment for diagnostic exams.
• Perform general sonography examinations with routine measurements on all patient types.
• Assist physicians during invasive procedures such as biopsy and paracentesis or thoracentesis.
• Verify charge code information in Radiology Information System and ensure exam completeness.
• Retrieve ultrasound films, file records, and schedule patients; support workflow.
