Responsibilities

• Sets up, adjusts, and operates ultrasound equipment for diagnostic procedures.
• Performs general sonography examinations with routine measurements.
• Assists physicians during sterile invasive procedures such as biopsy and paracentesis.
• Maintains records and ensures proper documentation and coding.
• Verifies charge code information in the Radiology Information System.
• Performs related clerical tasks and scheduling of patients.
• Demonstrates techniques and supervises radiologic technology students.
