Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Multimodality Technologist to perform x-ray and CT exams in accordance with ARRT standards and department policies.

You will ensure high-quality imaging across neonatal to geriatric patients and support the Radiology team in procedures and documentation. The role requires an associate degree in Radiologic Technology, CT coursework, and ARRT certifications, with BLS and state MRT licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic technology required.
• One year experience as Radiology Technologist in acute care.
• One year CT procedures experience required.
• Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Completion of CT and cross-sectional anatomy courses.
• Current MRT certification with Texas Medical Board.
• BLS certification as per policy.
• ARRT Radiology certification (R).
• ARRT CT certification (CT).

Responsibilities

• Produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality from Neonatal to Geriatric patients.
• Follow established scanning and viewing protocols.
• Operate CT scanner and related equipment efficiently.
• Complete quality scans in a timely manner and manage urgent demands.
• Scan trauma, acute and challenging patients; adjust positioning as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of disease processes and identify related anatomy.
• Use the power injector and understand its limits.
• Scan patients of all ages, tailoring exams to age/size/needs.
• Complete documentation on forms, logs, workstation and Meditech.
• Assist Radiologist during invasive procedures and ensure supply availability.
• Ensure CT and department equipment are functioning properly.
