Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center, part of St. David's HealthCare, is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality imaging and adhere to Radiation Right guidelines. The role requires MRT certification with the Texas Medical Board, BLS, and ARRT (R), with preferred 1 year of acute care radiology experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as Radiologic Technologist in acute care preferred
• Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program
• Current MRT certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ARRT certification (R) in Radiology

Responsibilities

• Perform all Diagnostic Radiologic Procedures
• Demonstrate technique to produce optimal study
• Use all equipment including fluoro, c-arm, Tomo, portable units
• Interpret physician orders prior to exam for optimal study
• Refer issues to Senior Tech/Radiologist as appropriate
• Use markers/ID on each exam
• Assist radiologist with procedures
• Maintain sterile technique as appropriate
• Prepare patients for exams
• Explain indications for contrast mediums
• Provide patient care throughout procedure
• Assess patient understanding and ensure safety
