Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking a Multimodal Transportation Engineer (TE3) in Wenatchee to provide advanced technical design and analysis. You will support regional planning with multimodal concepts, cost estimation, and implementation planning.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of transportation engineering principles and applicable laws and guidance.
  • Demonstrated application of engineering principles for active transportation planning and design.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various technical multimodal transportation engineering analyses in support of region planning projects and goals.
  • Document and report on analysis outcomes in writing, graphically, and orally.
  • Develop, evaluate, and design intersection, roadway, active transportation, and structure concepts.
  • Lead multimodal engineering tasks in planning studies including alternative improvement concept development, analysis, and cost estimating.
  • Develop cost estimates for multimodal transportation concepts with consideration for structures and environment.
  • Develop and evaluate active transportation improvement alternatives that address identified needs.
  • Support internal and external community meetings and workshops at various milestones in planning and design processes.
  • Coordinate with other Region offices including scoping, traffic, real estate services, environmental, survey, materials, program management, and project engineering as required.
  • Proactively engage and collaborate as a member of multimodal planning and design delivery teams.
