Job summary

Maine Department of Transportation is seeking a Project Manager for the Multimodal Program in Maine to manage a portfolio of public works projects from inception through completion.

The role requires coordinating with team members, MaineDOT management, and public officials to address project issues, monitor scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure conformance with MaineDOT standards. Supervision of staff may be involved under the Senior Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Professional Engineer or twelve (12) years experience in technical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating and fostering communication with team members, public town officials, MaineDOT management, and other stakeholder groups to discuss on-going project issues and resolve problems
• Actively monitoring scope, schedule, and budget of each project, and recommending corrective action as needed
• Overseeing and providing guidance to public officials and private businesses which have entered into agreement with MaineDOT for a local or business-related project
• Ensuring project conformance with MaineDOT standards and policies
