Job summary

Qualifications

• Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply.
• By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.
• Preference may be given to juniors/seniors, South Dakota residents, and students of SD institutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Development Planning staff in implementing a transportation planning program.
• Conduct policy research, GIS tasks, planning, and report generation in the office.
• Work on-site with the community for site analysis, data gathering, and public/stakeholder meetings.
• Some overnight travel required; typically five 8-hour days per week.
