Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. in Denver, CO offers a limited-term, full-time summer internship in our Transportation group.

You will participate in planning, analysis, and design of transportation facilities across complete streets, sidewalks, bike networks, transit, and more. You will collect multimodal data, test concepts using simulation tools, and support project managers with client deliverables and technical reports.

Qualifications

• Completed at least two semesters of civil engineering coursework.
• Valid driver's license required for field visits.

Responsibilities

• Plan, analyze and design transportation facilities including complete streets, sidewalks, bicycle networks/trails, transit systems, airports, freight networks and parking infrastructure.
• Multimodal data collection and analysis to investigate safety and mobility issues and propose geometric, operational, land use and demand management strategies including use of simulation tools such as Synchro, Vissim, TransModeler, Cube and ArcUrban.
• Collaborate with project managers and colleagues on multiple transportation projects; assist with preparation of technical reports and client deliverables and participate in meetings.
• Field observations and data collection; participate in client meetings and site visits.
