Position Overview
We are seeking a Multimedia Technician to support a wide range of audio/visual, computer, printing, and mobile device technologies in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of multimedia systems and end-user technology. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with audiovisual equipment, desktop support, multifunction printers, and customer service within a technical support environment.
This position supports board meetings, corporate events, public outreach initiatives, remote meetings, and various technology-driven business functions. The role requires flexibility to support occasional after-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of audio/visual systems and related equipment.
- Support board meetings, corporate events, public outreach events, customer forums, and remote meeting environments.
- Configure, operate, and dismantle projectors, microphones, speakers, mixers, video conferencing systems, and presentation equipment.
- Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for audiovisual equipment, desktop computers, laptops, multifunction printers, scanners, plotters, mobile devices, and telecommunication equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on multifunction printers, scanners, and plotters.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in response to customer support requests.
- Coordinate equipment delivery, installation, relocation, and setup with internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Create and maintain troubleshooting guides, technical documentation, training materials, and end-user instructions.
- Prioritize and manage multiple assignments while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support as needed.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and service quality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience supporting and maintaining audio/visual equipment, including LCD/LED displays, projectors, and PA systems.
- Experience supporting multifunction printers, scanners, and plotters.
- Familiarity with tiered technical support environments.
- Basic understanding of PC networking concepts and Windows Active Directory.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures and work independently.
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with a favorable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Multimedia, Electronics, or a related field.
- CompTIA A+ Certification.
- CompTIA Network+ Certification.
- Knowledge of audiovisual technologies and equipment.
- Understanding of reprographics and document production equipment.
- Experience supporting live event technology and multimedia environments.

- May require lifting and transporting technology equipment.
- Occasional travel within the San Antonio service area for event and equipment support.
