Johns Hopkins Engineering seeks a Multimedia Technician for the Center for Learning Design and Technology. The CLDT supports all faculty and staff in the Whiting School of Engineering, including full-time residential as well as online and part-time students across 23 engineering and applied science masters degree and certificate programs. The CLDT is a results-driven group of instructional designers, technologists, multimedia producers, and AV specialists. The multimedia technician will provide technical support for all aspects of course delivery, including assisting with configuration and implementation of AV technology in learning spaces, updating computers, and supporting faculty, staff, and students in their use of AV equipment. We maintain technology in dozens of classrooms and studios across three campuses: Homewood, East Baltimore, and the Applied Physics Laboratory.
Our selected candidate must have a proven record of handling numerous complex tasks while balancing the needs of multiple audiences. We are seeking an exceptionally responsible, reliable person with experience working with instructors in a high-pressure course delivery setting.
This position reports to the Multimedia System Specialist.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination.
