Job summary

The University of Texas at Arlington is seeking a Multimedia Content Specialist to develop, produce, and execute multimedia content across channels. You’ll oversee production from concept to final delivery, edit high-quality videos and photos, and support marketing, recruitment, and events.

Hybrid work environment: 3 days in office, 2 days remote; requires occasional evenings/weekends and up to 10% travel. Proficiency in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Suite is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, multimedia production, photography, broadcast/digital journalism, communications, public relations, or a related field; three (3) years of professional experience in public relations, communications, broadcast or video production, or digital media OR seven (7) years of equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create and produce multimedia storytelling content, including photography, videography, podcasts, and other digital media to support marketing, communications, fundraising, recruitment, special events, and student success initiatives.
  • Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos of events, achievements, and community members.
  • Manage scheduling for headshots and photo sessions.
  • Make technical and creative decisions on lighting, audio, angles, equipment, and production style.
  • Produce commercial-quality materials for classroom instruction, conferences, and research presentations.
  • Support recruitment and marketing efforts by producing professional videos, graphics, podcasts, simulations, advertising, and other technology-based products.
  • Create, coordinate, and maintain accessible promotional multimedia content in collaboration with faculty, lecturers, and staff.
  • Produce engaging digital content and manage daily posts; engage followers to strengthen digital presence.
  • Ensure accurate and timely publication of multimedia to the website and related platforms.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the University’s brand standards.
  • Utilize industry-standard production software, such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, and comparable tools, to produce high-quality, brand-aligned multimedia projects.
  • Maintain consistent excellence in all visual and audio productions.
  • Design and produce digital and print marketing materials, including social media graphics, short video clips, posters, flyers, website images, and other promotional materials.
  • Ensure all creative products align with the business unit/department’s messaging and brand identity.
  • Maintain efficient multimedia workflows and equipment, ensuring studio spaces, cameras, lighting, and audio tools are fully operational.
  • Troubleshoot production challenges and recommend technology improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Purpose of Position

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree and five (5) years of experience in a professional media production environment.
  • Previous work experience at a video production facility, advertising agency, corporate or institutional in-house organization, or higher education in-house creative team.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong written/verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Final Cut Pro Studio and Adobe Creative Suite or similar editing program; proficiency in the latest video production, digital learning, designing and editing of videos, photos, podcasts and graphic designs.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, including ability to juggle multiple tasks and respond rapidly to competing priorities.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively within a team.
Work Schedule
  • Monday through Friday; 8:00am through 5:00pm.
  • Hybrid Work Environment (Remote & Office) - 3 Days in office and 2 days remote.
  • 10% Travel.
  • Requires occasional evening or weekend hours.
