Job summary

Towson University is seeking a Multimedia Technician to support media labs, studios, and equipment across teaching and research spaces. You will help manage lending, scheduling, and readiness of gear for classes, screenings, and exhibitions.

Under supervision, you will mentor student workers, coordinate with faculty, and ensure smooth operation of media labs, labs equipment, and production facilities for teaching and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Technology or related field.
• One year in the operation and maintenance of audio-visual or multimedia equipment.
• Ability to lead and train subordinate personnel; communicate effectively in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and logistical support for studios, labs, and equipment.
• Maintain functionality of shared classrooms and computer labs.
• Coordinate with faculty and staff to support screenings, exhibits, and events.
• Assist with equipment lending and readiness for teaching and demonstrations.
• Train student personnel in lending procedures and basic troubleshooting.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Technology or related field
