Job summary

Comal Independent School District seeks a seasoned educator to lead its Multilingual Programs, spanning Bilingual, ESL, Spanish Immersion and LOTE initiatives. You will work with district staff and external partners to provide research-based instructional opportunities for multilingual learners.

The role focuses on program leadership, curriculum design, data-informed improvement, and professional development aligned with TEKS/ELPS/TELPAS.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas teaching certificate is required.
• Bilingual and/or ESL certification required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Five years of classroom teaching experience in bilingual/Spanish immersion/ESL/LOTE.
• Experience with technology applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for the District’s Multilingual Programs and second language acquisition.
• Remain current in bilingual programs, curriculum, and staff development through conferences and research.
• Conducts meetings with district and campus instructional leaders for feedback and input.
• Collaborates with district staff on instructional programs and strategies per the District Improvement Plan.
• Develops and supports district-wide curriculum aligned with state standards and assessments.
• Coordinates textbook/materials selection and assists with procurement.
