You will provide consecutive interpretation between English and various languages, and may support remote interpretation by phone or video when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficiency in English and All Spoken Language.
• Ability to provide consecutive interpretation.
• Completion of language and interpreting proficiency evaluations.
• Background checks and health requirements may apply.
• One or more years of professional interpreting experience.
• Medical, legal, community, educational, or social-services interpreting experience.
• Relevant interpreter training, credentials, or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and All Spoken Language.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with confidentiality, privacy, security, and assignment protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy and data-protection requirements including HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients, patients, customers, and other participants.
• Maintain professional language proficiency and subject-matter knowledge.
