Job summary

Propio Language Services is seeking on-site contract interpreters in the Worcester, MA area who are passionate about facilitating accurate and meaningful communication across language barriers.

You will provide consecutive interpretation between English and all spoken languages, with remote interpretation by phone or video as needed, while adhering to client protocols and Propio's professional standards. A background, credentialing checks, and a current résumé in English are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Professional proficiency in English and all spoken language.
• Ability to accurately provide consecutive interpretation between English and all spoken language.
• Successful completion of language and interpreting proficiency evaluations.
• Current résumé in English during application process.
• Background checks and credentialing standards may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and all spoken language during onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols and client requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy and data-protection requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA).
• Maintain professional interactions with clients and participants.
• Maintain language proficiency and subject-matter knowledge for assignments.
